It was a bottle that Tandleman kindly gave me two years ago. I wrote about it here http://baileysbeerblog.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/crafty-kreechr.html

Speaking of bottles, I still have your botle of Night Porter, which I brought back from Dublin for you. I will hang on to it until I next see you. That may be sooner than you think, as I have recently joined the British Guild of Beer Writers.Paul Baileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09678639237696546268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6722137562852954269.post-78268071257384023542014-09-22T10:15:30.166+01:002014-09-22T10:15:30.166+01:00Agreed with you on the Ettaler and Mittenwalder Du...Agreed with you on the Ettaler and Mittenwalder Dunkels!

You're quite right about how localised the beer market is, although certain of the Bavarian beers do travel a bit, mainly to specialist drinks shops. Scheyern is fairly widely distributed for instance, certainly you can find it in the north, sometimes the Mittenwalder Jager Dunkel too.

It probably doesn't count here, but just as a matter of interest, if you've had a Brewers & Union German-style beer you've had Arcobräu beer - at least, I think it's all still contracted to there.
